Barbara’s latest ‘release’ is a gorgeous little four track CD entitled ‘Nobody’.
Only four songs, but it displays her wide ranging talent, in different styles of country music.
The opening and title track, ‘Nobody’ is a ‘fun’, up tempo number, which has opened many new doors for Barbara, by being included on the playlists of many ‘Pop’ radio stations, in addition to the country music programmes, on which she often features.
The second track, ‘Is It So Amazing’, a thought provoking ‘country gospel’ song, shows another aspect of Barbara’s work, and has, not surprisingly, proved popular with listeners to gospel music programmes.
On ‘I Will, If You Will’, Barbara is joined by her good friend Warren Smyth, on one of the most romantic ballads about commitment, in these modern times, you’re ever likely to hear.
‘He Grew The Tree’, taken from her ‘From This Moment’ album, rounds off this ‘little diamond’ of a CD, with another beautiful gospel song.
Some of these tracks will undoubtedly appear on Barbara’s future ‘full length’ albums, but meantime, you can have them in this format.
Nobody’ will be disappointed. |

In this gorgeous album, Barbara shows her ability to handle various strands of music. Mostly pure country, but all of them with at least a country flavour. With the help of producer Crawford Bell, lately best known for his work with Daniel O’Donnell and Van Morrison, on four of the tracks, and the highly respected William Mawhinney on the rest, Barbara has given her ‘special touch’ to songs ranging from the country ‘golden oldie’, ‘Please Help Me I’m Falling’, through to numbers written by Shania Twain, Garth Brooks and Diane Warren.
Barbara has also included a beautiful gospel song, ‘He Grew The Tree’, a duet with her good friend Warren Smyth, ’Meet Me In Montana’, and her version of Julie Rogers’ sixties hit, ‘The Wedding’.
The album opens and closes with two different mixes of a song written for Barbara, ‘Smile’, and we know that if you play this excellent CD, you’ll be smiling to.
